LASSE GUSTAVSSON

President and CEO at OCEAN WISE

Lasse Gustavsson is a global environmentalist, championing nature conservation and sustainable development worldwide. With decades of international executive leadership experience with Greenpeace International, WWF Sweden, WWF International, and Oceana, he now leads Ocean Wise, an ocean conservation group with global ambitions, based in Vancouver, Canada.

Lasse is driven by an unwavering commitment to impactful, on-the-ground conservation efforts that mirror the scale of the climate and biodiversity crisis we are facing. His collaborative spirit orchestrates impactful corporate and government partnerships, propelling exceptional fundraising campaigns, and nurturing profound stakeholder connections.

Lasse studied International Relations, Development Science, and Human Ecology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and received his Executive Education at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Note that due to a change in the availability of our Scandinavian caterer we will be featuring a Ukrainian main course (perogies, sausage, sauerkraut, sour cream) - a non-meat/vegan option will substitute mushrooms for the sausage, but this is available only with advance notice (by Friday Oct 31st).
