President's Message

October 2025

Hello everyone!

The summer went by fast, the travel to my hometown Fedje in Norway and Portugal was a highlight. A few trips in our RV around the interior, Manning Park, and Castlegar in the Kootenay’s were fantastic.  I hope you had a great summer as well!!

Fall is here and with that comes events and gatherings at the Scandinavian Community Centre.

I am happy to get back to the swing of things. The board are looking forward to hosting you at our upcoming events. The next is planned for Tuesday November 4th at 6:00PM.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of you and encouraging you to bring out new people and help promote what we do. We want to attract new members, and currently we need accountants, mortgage brokers, plumbers, electricians, gardeners, lawyers and many other circles of influence.

Our membership is only $50 per year. There are a lot of opportunities to promote your business. We’re always looking for new speakers so please contact me if you are interested or know someone that is.

If you want to spotlight your business, please send me an email; This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will fit you in.

The next dinner and speaker event is Tuesday November 4th at 6PM, our speaker will be Lasse Gustavsson.

If you know someone that is interested in joining the board, put their name forward and we will contact them.

If you have ideas and would like to join us, please give me a call: 778-773-5524.
